I would love to be all poetic and claim that this is the final sunset of 2008, but in all honesty I was drinking beer at home last night instead of being out with my camera. I can say that this is the second-to-last sunset of 2008… second comes right after first… (or right before first in this case).
Both of these shots are 3 frame (+1 / 0 / 1-) HDR merges, which I’m really growing fond of.
So it is now 2009, yay! I’ve never quite understood the significance of the December-January transition… but here in Australia it works in our favour I guess. Generally speaking, the excused night of debauchery otherwise known as New Years is usually accompanied with wonderfully warm nights, making the party that much nicer.
